I love a contemporary world setting yet with paranormal creatures, where love has to navigate a whole different set of obstacles and delights and, refreshingly, Elio isn’t a stereotypical vampire. This was written in a strong, lyrical style which drew me into their vivid characters, and I applaud the bittersweet ending as the ultimate consummation of their love.
Fans of paranormal romance won’t want to miss the sweeping love story between Elio and Michah in “Touch of Desire.” The author’s prose is vivid and flowing, immersing me in the story from page one. I was especially impressed by the story’s fresh take on a secret, supernatural underworld. The setting and backstory were interwoven into the characters’ whirlwind romance in addition to leaving me wanting more of the universe.
Touch of Desire is a satisfying treat for a cold winter night. In a world where humans have discovered other creatures living among them, a vampire and a human act on the strong desire they feel for one another.

Elio and Micah's love story is unexpectedly sweet and touching with a lot of heat. The sparks between these two are undeniable, and Elio's secret makes the steamy scenes absolutely electric. There's so much world building packed into Touch of Desire that you can't help but want to read more set in the same world. I could have read another book or two just about these characters alone. Highly recommended for fans of PNR who love steamy romance with urban settings and unique spins on popular tropes.
