Bio

Kyle Prue is the 19-year-old Award Winning Author of The Sparks: Book One of the Feud Trilogy. Kyle is also an Actor and Stand Up Comedian.

Kyle’s first book “The Sparks” has won state and national awards for Best Book for Young Adults in Florida and the national award for Best Fiction for Young Adults from the Florida Author’s and Publishers Association. The Sparks was the runner up for Best Young Adult Fiction at the Florida Book Festival and won Honorable Mentions at the New England Book Festival, Midwest Book Festival, Southern California Book Festival, and the International London Book Festival. Kyle also won a prestigious International Moonbeam award for Best Young Author.

A graduate of Seacrest Country Day School in Naples, Fl, Kyle is currently attending University of Michigan as a graduate of the class of 2020. He is also an Actor with Snow Entertainment in Los Angeles and trains as a comedian at Second City in Chicago. Despite his crowded schedule, Kyle takes the time to visit middle and high schools to encourage teens to read, write, and follow their dreams. Kyle has become passionate about advocating for child and teen literacy, going as far as taking off a year of college to visit with struggling students and starting his own nonprofit called Sparking Literacy to assist underprivileged kids that may not have the opportunity or the encouragement to improve their literacy skills.

At just 16, Kyle conceived the idea for The Sparks late at night during a bout of insomnia. Kyle then spend the next summer working on his first book; a tradition he has followed every summer since. Despite his crowded schedule, Kyle is currently working on the next two books in the series, The Flames and The Ashes.
