Bio

I have been telling stories as long as I can remember and started writing them down when I was ten or eleven. My words appeared in print when I was thirteen, authoring a long-running column in the local weekly newspaper. At sixteen, I began a column in an internationally circulated trade magazine. In high school I was features and copy editor for our award-winning school newspaper and elected to Theta Sigma Phi women’s honorary. I have edited various newsletters, authored other columns and contributed articles for trade publications and ghost wrote much of Volume III of an award-winning reference book, as well as written an educational manual and a feature article in a large city daily newspaper.

My first published fiction was an excerpt printed in Scribe’s Showcase, an anthology of the Superstition Mountain Scribes in Mesa, Arizona. Later I sold a full-length novel, Untamed Valor, to a small press and to date have written five more books in that series, plus two novellas, one of which, Persistent Valor, is offered here on Prolific Works. I plan to re-release Untamed Valor in 2021, followed by the rest of the series. Meanwhile, I am working on a series of historical fiction based in biblical times.

I am a member of Romance Writers of America, and past president of Dallas Area Romance Authors and the Writers’ Guild of Texas.

In addition to writing, I enjoy church work, classical music, and purebred dogs. I live in Texas with my family and pets.
