I always loved ghost stories as a kid, and this is my favorite kind--the one with romance and a happy ending. It was a lot of fun following along with failing tour guide Gale, and his plan was genius. It's a tough job dealing with people like that! I can't wait to see what Fawkes does with this series, and I hope it has more from Gale and Victor in future books!

W.M. Fawkes always does creepy well. She can give almost anything a contemporary gothic feel that makes the hair on your arms stand up. Poor Gale. Trapped with a hot psychic, chased by a ghost, and trying to escape a house that definitely wants to keep them. Okay, so one of those isn't so bad. But with only a few hours of darkness to figure out how to escape, they don't have much time left.
